Nothing stirs up as much controversy as time arrives determining who gets into either the NFL, NBA, NHL, Assorted Music Halls of Fame. When the announcement was made for which former NFL greats got inducted into the hall of fame, many fans were justifiably not in agreement with the announcement. As the NBA gets prepared to announce the select former players or coaches gaining entry this year, fans were in arms when Reggie Miller's name was left off the finalist ballot. In the NFL dept many former players still haven't received their rightful place in the hall of fame. Players such as Ray Guy, Cliff Branch, Lester Hayes and countless other players are for what ever reason omitted each year, making fans wonder about the voting parties displaying biases for select teams that aren't in good standing with them.
On March 1st announcements are going to read aloud on who gets inducted into the country music hall of fame, fans are bound once again to make their voices heard when their favorite artist doesn't get inducted. I've always believed that when former athletes or musicians have exceptional careers in their respective fields, that gaining entry into the hall of fame shouldn't be that difficult. In recent years, sports writers more then ever determine who does or doesn't gain entry in a sports hall of fame, making me wonder do the writers making the selections, have something against the player or the team(s) each player played for during their careers.
